Adding a new direct flight from Singapore to Da Nang

Low-cost carrier Scoot Airlines has launched a direct Singapore – Da Nang route, increasing the total flight frequency between the two destinations to 24 flights per week.

Scoot Airlines flight TR314 departed from Changi Airport (Singapore) carrying 174 passengers and landed at Da Nang International Airport on the afternoon of October 20, marking the first time the airline has operated flights to the central city of Vietnam.

Representatives of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Airports Authority, and the Da Nang International Airport Terminal Investment and Operation JSC welcomed the first passengers, presenting them with souvenirs and flowers.

The Singapore – Da Nang route is operated by Scoot Airlines with three flights per week (on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) using Airbus A320 aircraft with 180–186 seats. The airline plans to increase the frequency to seven flights per week from January 2026.

Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that thanks to its favorable geographical location, fast air connectivity, and cultural similarities within the ASEAN region, the number of visitors from Singapore to Da Nang has shown a steady upward trend.

“The expansion of direct flights between Singapore and Da Nang, with the participation of Singapore Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Scoot Airlines, has increased the total frequency from Singapore to Da Nang to 24 flights per week, contributing to the promotion of tourist exchanges and the expansion of international cooperation in the coming time,” Mr. Vuong said.

Scoot Airlines is a low-cost carrier under the Singapore Airlines Group, operating more than 70 destinations in 16 countries across Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and Europe, such as Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Sydney, Athens, Berlin, and Vienna. In Vietnam, the airline currently operates routes from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City (7–14 flights per week), Hanoi (5 flights per week), Phu Quoc (6 flights per week), and is expected to launch flights to Cam Ranh from November 2025 (2 flights per week).

Previously, on the evening of October 2, Da Nang resumed a direct flight route from Shenzhen, marking the return of the Chinese tourist market.

In the first eight months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed approximately 5 million international visitors, an increase of 23.4% compared to the same period in 2024. The resumption of direct flights is expected to further boost arrivals from the billion-population market in the final months of the year.
